Emily Mayerhoff is the owner and founder of Attitude Dance Boutique in College Station, Texas. After earning a degree in retail marketing from Louisiana Tech University, Emily’s career has included retail sales, retail management, media buying, promotions/special events, advertising & public relations. She began her retail journey working in small specialty boutiques and then showrooms at the Dallas Market Center. She has also worked for large retailers such as Lord & Taylor and Half Price Books. While in Lord & Taylor’s management program and subsequently, the Marketing Department for Half Price Books, Emily gained the bulk of her marketing, management, media and advertising experience including responsibilities for locations nationwide. Emily has continued sharing her retail knowledge while presenting seminars for dance retailers at the Dancewear Expo trade shows in Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles & Baltimore. Emily has also served as a panelist for Dance Business Weekly's conference for dance business owners. Dance Business Weekly frequently includes Emily and Attitude Dance Boutique in articles regarding various current dance retail topics and trends. Emily's husband's career brought their family to Bryan-College Station in 2003. As their four daughters started dance lessons, it became clear to Emily that a full service dance retail store was needed in our community, so Attitude Dance Boutique was born in 2011. In addition to being a "mompreneur", Emily has spent time volunteering with and supporting the Junior League of Bryan-College Station, Ballet Brazos, Bethel Lutheran Church, Blessings in Bags, Bryan High School Cheer Booster Club, The School for Little People, Johnson Elementary PTO, Shy-Anne's Booster Club, Bryan ISD's Strategic Planning Committee and the Bryan ISD Parent Leadership Team. Bryan-College Station and its "small town feel" are important to Emily & her family. She loves the friendships with local families that she has made at Attitude Dance Boutique. You will find Emily at most of the studio and team performances and recitals to show her support and love for the dancers and dance programs in and around Bryan-College Station. Emily is also committed to the "Shop Local" movement & to providing our customers with stellar service & stellar style.
